Fun Fact: The Cathedral was the longest-running construction project in Washington, D.C., history, but we're hoping for a shorter timeline for our LEGO® model.

Our friends over at Fox5 stopped by for a progress update on the LEGO® model, which was launched in 2019 and waylaid by the pandemic closures. Construction is back up and running, with about 125,000 bricks on the board.

When it’s finally finished, we’ll be looking at about 500,000 bricks to build a 1:40 scale model of the Cathedral — about the size of a minivan.

You can learn more about how to help build here; all proceeds go to ongoing building maintenance and repairs.
