In Memoriam: Dean Robert Willis

The Cathedral is sad to share the news that our beloved colleague in ministry, the Very Rev. Robert Willis, Dean Emeritus of Canterbury Cathedral, passed away unexpectedly yesterday.  

Dean Willis has been a friend to this Cathedral for decades, his whimsical morning devotions in the “Garden Congregation” during the pandemic gifted everyone at such a spiritually difficult time. We will miss him, and give thanks for his decades of ministry and friendship.

Pray for his family and his partner, Fletcher, in their grief. May light perpetual shine upon him and may angels sing him home.
