The Cathedral is an Episcopal church and is the cathedral of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington. All who seek a deeper relationship with God in Christ are welcome to receive Communion.

The Cathedral’s soaring architecture will point your eyes toward heaven as prayers, preaching and music open our hearts to God. Our worship is based on the traditions of The Episcopal Church and features beloved hymns, a hybrid blend of contemporary music and the best in Cathedral preaching.

Choral Evensong

Choral Evensong is one of the most beloved Anglican traditions, where we lift our voices to God in sung prayer as we end the day and prepare for rest. With music, Scripture and ancient prayers, you are invited to feel God’s presence in the intimate setting of the Cathedral’s Great Choir.
