Join us in-person or online as Bishop Mariann Budde moderates a conversation with author Jonathan Eig, Cathedral Canon Theologian Kelly Brown Douglas, and Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley (MA-07) about Eig’s latest book, King: A Life. Gospel group DreamLaunchers will perform hymns as this event celebrates Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., his connection to the Cathedral, and the legacy of civil rights today.
King: A Life, is first major biography of Dr. King in decades, and the first to contain recently declassified FBI files. Pulitzer Prize winner David J. Garrow, calls it “the most comprehensive and original King biography to appear in more than thirty-five years.”
