In contemplating Lent this year, I am constantly reminded of how much we need to step aside from the turmoil that engulfs the world around us. In doing so, I find that the overwhelming sense that replaces the turmoil is gratitude. Gratitude for numerous blessings that surround us, but most especially for the faith that continues to strengthen and sustain me.
