Friday, September 23

Homecoming Mix & Music • 6:30 – 8:30 pm 
This up-close-and-personal experience will bring you together with the preachers and musicians you see at each Sunday service as well as the village of artisans that make our worship possible. Along with heavy hors d’oeuvres, enjoy performances from the Cathedral’s contemporary music team and special peeks at Cathedral treasures.

Saturday, September 24

Festal Sung Morning Prayer + Unique Cathedral Programming • 9 am – 1:30 pm
Optional: Morning Organ Performance • 8:15 am – 8:45 am

Optional: DC Monument Tour with Local Guide (additional fee; register during checkout process)  • 1:30 – 6:30 pm
Join Dean Randy Hollerith, Cathedral clergy and the Cathedral Choir for Festal Sung Morning Prayer in the Cathedral’s Gothic surroundings, honoring the centuries-long tradition of musical leadership in worship. Early birds can catch an organ demonstration. Then, enjoy programming exclusively for Homecoming attendees including Clergy Conversations, Gardens and Woodland Pilgrimages and Behind the Scenes Tours. Lunch included.

Sunday, September 25

Cathedral Day Festival Eucharist + Reception • 11:15 am – 2 pm
Participate in Festival Eucharist on the Cathedral’s 115th Birthday. Together with the whole Cathedral family, experience a resplendent celebration of the Eucharist including dynamic preaching from Presiding Bishop Michael Curry. Immediately following the Eucharist, celebrate Cathedral Day on the west front with a lunch reception.

What does registration include?

What does registration NOT include?

• Travel to and from Washington, DC
• Hotel accommodations (a discounted room block available, including free breakfast – details further down this page)
• Other meals, and personal expenses
• Option to purchase additional Saturday afternoon tours of Washington, DC

• (The recommended hotel is the Embassy Suites by Hilton – Washington DC – Chevy Chase Pavilion Hotel)

What is the registration fee and when is payment due?

• The registration fee is $450 per person and includes a $150 non-refundable deposit
• Payment is due at time of registration
• Scholarships are available

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

• All notice of cancellation must be received in writing by Washington National Cathedral. Email notice to [email protected]
• Registration is refundable until August 15, minus $150 non-refundable deposit
• No refunds after August 15
• In the event that Homecoming is postponed or rescheduled by the Cathedral due to pandemic-related travel or health concerns, all funds MINUS the $150 non-refundable deposit will be refunded. The deposit will be applicable to the rescheduled date. If the pilgrim declines to join the rescheduled date, the non-refundable deposit will be retained by the Cathedral.

DC Local Tour

DC Local Tour: Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 1:30pm

All guests are welcome to attend the DC Local Tour additional activity. Homecoming guests will join a local DC tour guide on a bus tour of the District of Columbia. The bus will stop at many historical monuments and the guide will share historical information and facts about each stop along the way. There will be an option to get off the bus at each stop for photos and to walk the site.

Tour Registration Information

The bus will pick up all guests at the Cathedral Saturday afternoon at 1:30 pm, after lunch is served. The tour will end at 5:30 pm and the bus will drop off all guests at the following locations – Cathedral, Embassy Suites Hotel, or the Omni Shoreham Hotel.

This is an additional activity to Homecoming Weekend. Per person cost is $48.00.
