All are welcome to join the Gun Violence Prevention Ministry’s educational session, “Evidence-Based Solutions to Gun Violence, with a Dash of Faith” on Sunday, March 22 (immediately following the 11:15 service/coffee hour) in Perry Auditorium.

Featured speaker Ethan Bartlett from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg Center for Gun Violence Solutions will present the Center’s five key policies and programmatic priorities that have the potential to save countless lives.

Through presentation and conversation, we will demonstrate how we can integrate public health research and faith values to advance practical responses to gun violence.

About the Speaker

Ethan Bartlett is a assistant research and policy advisor at the Center for Gun Violence Solutions at Hopkins in a full-time capacity and a policy analyst with the Maryland Department of Health in a part-time capacity.

His research interests revolve around the intersection of social determinants of health and firearm violence. Ethan has had the pleasure of working with organizations across the country to promote and inform about safe firearm practices, educate groups about gun violence prevention policy, and advocate for legislative and implementation change to reduce firearm violence.

Outside of work, Ethan enjoys connecting with and learning from people with different perspectives and try to take the opportunity to experience new things when possible.
