Choral Evensong with a Celebration of New Ministry

This evening’s service includes the celebration of the new ministry the Reverend Canon Maurice Dyer, Canon to the Bishop Suffragan of the Armed Forces and Federal Ministries.

One of the treasures of the Anglican tradition, evensong is a service of sung evening prayer. The interspersing of music spanning from the Renaissance to the modern day, between familiar passages of scripture and ancient prayers, creates a contemplative mood. Lasting less than an hour, this service is a wonderful way to end the day.
