Blessing of the Animals

Washington National Cathedral honors the feast day of Saint Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals and the environment, with our yearly Blessing of the Animals service. All God’s critters and their caretakers are invited to gather at the west front of the Cathedral for a special blessing.
