Cathedral Unveils 2025-26 Concert Season
World-renowned vocal ensembles will take center stage at Washington National Cathedral for the 2025-26 Concert Season, which also features soaring orchestral arrangements, beloved holiday favorites and rotating organ recitals.
VOCES8, The King’s Singers and The Tallis Scholars will anchor the 2025-26 season, which kicks off on Oct. 3 with The National Cathedral Choir and Baroque Orchestra performing Bach’s Magnificat. Tickets and more information are now available at cathedral.org/concerts.
“I believe that when you encounter something beautiful in art, music or poetry, you also encounter something holy,” said The Very Rev. Randolph Marshall Hollerith, dean of the Cathedral. “And there are few things more spiritually moving than to experience beautiful music in the dramatic setting of this Cathedral.”
The 2025-26 season includes:
CATHEDRAL CHOIR AND ORCHESTRA
- The 2025-26 season opens with The Cathedral Choir and Baroque Orchestra presenting Johan Sebastian Bach’s Magnificat, based on the Gospel of Luke, with Marc-Antoine Charpentier’s Te Deum and Jean-Féry Rebel’s Les Élémens, on Friday, October 3 at 7 pm and Sunday, October 5 at 7 pm. Tickets
- The beloved holiday classic Handel’s Messiah returns to the Cathedral to kick off the Christmas season on Friday, December 5 at 7 pm, Saturday, December 6 at 6 pm and Sunday, December 7 at 6 pm, with a special abbreviated highlights performance on Saturday, December 6 at 2 pm. Tickets
VOCAL ENSEMBLES
- The GRAMMY-nominated a capella ensemble VOCES8 presents a program of Christmas carols, festive favorites and contemporary pieces with “Winter Tales,” Friday, December 19 at 7:30 pm and Saturday, December 20 at 7:30 pm. Tickets
- The King’s Singers return to the Cathedral from the U.K. for “Angels & Demons,” a 500-year exploration of themes and light and darkness, on Friday, February 6 at 7 pm, and Saturday, February 7 at 7 pm. Tickets
- The Tallis Scholars present “Mysteries and Miracles,” centered on Tomás Luis de Victoria’s Missa O magnum mysterium, in a program that traces stories of wonder and creation at the beginning of the Easter season, Friday, April 10 at 7:30 pm. Tickets
ORGAN RECITALS
Organ recitals featuring guest artists and Cathedral musicians are free and open to the public, with livestream options available. This year’s season features:

- Bryan Anderson on Sunday, November 16 at 2 pm
- Cathedral organists on Christmas Day, Thursday, December 25 at 1:30 pm
- Marvin Mills on Sunday, February 22 at 2 pm
- Cathedral organists on Easter Day, Sunday, April 5 at 2 pm
