Edith E. Holiday is an accomplished corporate director and former senior government official with decades of leadership experience across public companies, private enterprises, and nonprofit organizations.

She has served on the boards of numerous major institutions, including long standing roles with the Franklin Templeton Group of Funds, where she is a Lead Trustee and chairs key governance, nominating, and compensation committees. Her public company board service has included Hess Corporation, Santander Holdings USA, Santander Consumer USA, Canadian National Railway Company, White Mountains Insurance Group Ltd., and H.J. Heinz Company, where she has been recognized for her expertise in corporate governance, executive compensation, audit oversight, and strategic leadership.

Ms. Holiday held senior positions at the U.S. Department of the Treasury and The White House during the George H. W. Bush Administration, where she provided legal, financial, and operational leadership across a wide range of domestic and international economic matters. Her roles included serving as General Counsel and Deputy Assistant Secretary, overseeing significant personnel, and advising on issues related to financial institutions, tax policy, and capital markets. She also served as Assistant to the President and Secretary of the Cabinet, working closely with Cabinet leadership and coordinating policy development across the Administration. She previously led the President’s Commission on Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Salaries, providing executive oversight to a bipartisan effort to reform the federal compensation process.

Ms. Holiday earned her Bachelor of Science degree with high honors and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida. She is active in civic and philanthropic leadership, formerly serving on the boards of the Investment Company Institute and Beauvoir, the National Cathedral Elementary School. She co-chaired the Beauvoir Annual Fund and the Beauvoir Auction. Both of her daughters attended Beauvoir and NCS. She and her husband Terrence B. Adamson reside in Florida.
